 Fees and Fines/School Lunch Applications

It is your responsibility to manage your textbooks. Every student must have a textbook for every class. Students will not march in the graduation ceremony or receive a diploma until all outstanding fines have been paid for the 2013-2014 school year. Students may not participate in any Senior activities (including Prom) if they have outstanding fees for prior years.

School Free Lunch Application We need 100% participation from all seniors to ensure that this program continues. You will not be able to march in the graduation, receive your diploma or participate in any senior activities without having a completed application on file. You can sign up on-line at Bring a copy of the completed form or copy of on-line application to Ms. Atley in Room F1.
Fees and FinesMarch 7, 2014 All prior book fines/band fees/athletic/library fees (including ASB cards from 2011-2013) are due on March 7, 2014. Return all books from prior years to Mrs. Wiener as soon as possible.
Book Return for 2013-2014 All books that were assigned to you during this school year will be due on June 6, 2014. You will not receive your cap and gown if any fines for lost books are not paid.

FAFSA (Free Application for Student Aid)

To be considered for federal student aid for the 2014-2015 award year, you can complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) between January 1, 2014 and midnight Central Time, June 30, 2015. Any corrections or updates must be submitted by midnight Central Time, September 19, 2015.

However, many states and colleges have earlier deadlines for applying for state and institutional financial aid. You can find your state’s deadline at Check with your college about its deadlines.

Because of the variation in state and college deadlines, it is highly recommended that you fill out the FAFSA as soon as you can after January 1 to ensure that you do not miss out on available aid.

One thing to consider, however, is that the FAFSA asks for your tax return information for the current year. Often, this information might not be available until the end of January, at the earliest. Keeping this in mind, you can choose to either wait until you or your family files income taxes for the year or complete your FAFSA using estimates derived from the previous year’s tax returns and other documentation. (Note: If you do this, you will need to return later and correct any discrepancies between the estimated values and the current year’s tax returns.) [Taken from the FAFSA website,]

See Ms. Donison in the College & Career Center, or Ms. Gabriel for more information.

Final Transcripts

You may order a copy by coming to the records office or requests by mail only. Final official transcripts will be available to graduates approximately on July 28, 2014. The first five transcripts are free. The cost other transcripts is $ 4.00 per copy, cash (walk ins only) or money orders. Graduates should consider ordering several official copies to be used for higher education and employment. See Ms. Thomas in the Records office in the A Building.

Seniors should review their credit hours and grades with Ms. Gabriel immediately. Make an appointment to discuss options for credit recovery, if required. Please do not wait until the final weeks of the 2nd semester to ask last year’s teacher for a grade change. If you need to make up credits, take care of it at the start of this semester.
